STAMFORD – In Hamden's final baseball game of the 2006 season, they fell 6-4 to Stamford. Hamden scored first, taking a 1-0 lead off of a Dan Roche single. Chris Andreozzi added to the lead with a three-run-shot over the left field fence. However, Stamford chipped away at the margin and eventually took the lead. Hamden had baserunners late in the game, but could not capitalize.
Andreozzi led the Green Dragons with three RBIs, and Roche had two singles. Mike Deangelo walked twice and scored a run in the loss.
Hamden finishes the season with a 13-8 record and a second place finish in the SCC Qunnipiac Division.
Next: Season over.

HAMDEN – Hamden went 1-1 on Saturday as they defeated Xavier 4-2 in the first game and fell 5-2 to Career in the afternoon game. The Green Dragons finished the regular season with a record of 13-7.
In the first game, Chris Andreozzi had all four of Hamden's RBIs as well as his second homer of the season. Hank O'Donnell went two-for-two with two singles and a run.
Dan Rhone pitched a complete game while allowing just one earned run and striking out three. With the win, he is 6-1 on the year.
In the second game, Dan Roche got his first start of the year. Despite giving up the loss, he pitched well, going the distance and giving up three earned runs.
Roche also did well in the batter's box, going two-for-three with two singles. Jared Golino hit his third homer of the year and drove in two.
Next: State Playoffs.
